Hahn’s innovative menu features sumptuous nouvelle American fare, a playful mix of style and cuisines that includes beef, seafood, lamb, poultry and vegetarian dishes, artfully presented and complemented by a world-class wine selection. His famous rack of New Zealand lamb is a menu favorite, as are pan-fried oysters served with cheesy grits, a Belgian slaw made with white endive and tossed with apple, mint, walnut and pumpkin seeds, and Tuscan rib-eye with roasted tomatoes. And The Raphael’s chocolate mousse is Kansas City’s guilty pleasure!

The Raphael Lounge. After a mouthwatering meal, come relax and unwind in one of the most comfortable and cozy venues in Kansas City. The Raphael Lounge offers a charming piano bar with live entertainment - from jazz to contemporary music - on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings. The Lounge is open daily until Midnight (except Sundays). At The Raphael, music and romance always fill the air!

About the Chef. Peter Hahn, Executive Chef at The Raphael, is a Kansas City native and began his culinary career at the Alameda Plaza Hotel (now The Intercontinental) where he was promoted to sous chef at the hotel’s award-winning Rooftop Restaurant. Chef Hahn joined The Raphael as executive chef in 1989 where he remained until 1996. He worked as chef de cuisine at Milano and sous chef at the Marriott Allis Plaza before returning to The Raphael in 1998. His neo-classic cooking style is rooted in French fundamentals from which he builds with ethnic and cultural influences.
